what we do
We are here to help you.
This page will give you a brief introduction to the work of kmac. It is not exhaustive but it will give you enough information to see if we are able to you help you, or help someone you know who needs us.
we listen
We are a friendly bunch and we are good listeners. When we first meet you, we sit down together, get a cup of tea or coffee and listen to you.
We ask a few questions so we can understand what you're facing and to begin to see how we can best help you.
income and spending
We begin by establishing
what money you have coming in...and what
money you have going out.
We break everything down into nice, easy groups so
we can clearly see what
the situation is.
After the first meeting, we ask you to bring in as much paperwork as you can. But we can always fix other
times to meet if there is more to be done.
prepare an SFS
Eventually we will prepare a Standard Financial Statement (SFS). This is a document which is accepted by all those in the Finance/Lending/Credit industry.
It is a document we will send to all your creditors showing income and expenditure and all the offers of repayment.
It is all done by computer - very clever! We insert the figures and it does all the calculations for us.
contact your creditors
We will ask you to sign an authorisation so we can begin to make contact with all your creditors. The first effect of this is that they are asked to stop bothering you as we are now working on your behalf. This is good news for you!
We will see how helpful the creditors are and make sure they are behaving in accordance with the law and with good industry practice. We want them to be helpful...but it has to be done in a proper manner.

Being in contact with ALL the
creditors, we can make a plan
for repaying the debts in a way you can afford.
This way, no-one gets preferential treatment - unless they can by law eg Council Tax, DWP and HMRC.
We review this plan regularly as your circumstances may change - hopefully for the better.

We want you to feel better as a result of our help, so you can perhaps be more positive
about where things are going. We are patient with you but we are also firm - but only when needed.
We certainly don't take any nonsense from your creditors!
